Cast Iron Foot Valve with Check Valve
Product Details
Foot valve installed at the end of suction pipes (e.g., in well systems, irrigation setups), it integrates a built-in strainer/filter to block contaminants while enabling efficient fluid transfer.
Foot Valve operates automatically based on fluid pressure differences, requiring no external power source. When the pump is activated, the suction pressure created draws water forward, overcoming the valve’s internal spring or gravity-driven mechanism to open the valve disc. Water flows through the valve and into the suction pipe, while the integrated strainer filters out contaminants. When the pump shuts off, the forward pressure diminishes, and the valve disc closes tightly under the combined action of reverse water pressure and the valve’s internal mechanism (spring or gravity). This closure prevents water from flowing back to the source, maintaining prime in the pipe and blocking backflow effectively.
